Some stats from the closing ceremony:

This is the 6th time we've run the CTF (sometimes as Cisco/Portcullis, this year mostly as @timb_machine). This year we had 65 challenges covering a scavenger hunt, hashes to crack, OSINT and vulnerable IoT services to exploit.

Jonty was retired from the scavenger hunt however he did make a re-appareance in the form of a limited edition sticker. We also misplaced a USB stick in 2022 which formed the base of a cryptographic challenge. We didn't find it in 2024 and will be on the lookout for it in 2026.

All in all, 25 teams registered to play. There were 41 correct flag submissions as well as 68 incorrect submissions. Full marks to the Grace Hopper folks (who you might remember from 2018 and 2022). Having come 3rd, as students, pre-COVID, they came back in 2022 and 2024 with a plan to clean up, and clean up they did...

The final scoreboard for the top three places looked something like this:

* Grace Hopper's Posse - 1st
* RaccoonViolet - 2nd
* adnathanail - 3rd

The CTF is now closed. We will return in 2k26.

P.S. I'm getting too old to run this on my own and my colleagues have their own lives to lead. There were some discussions about handing over in 2024 and I foolishly didn't get properly organised to do so. If you're interested, drop me a message at [timb_machine](https://infosec.exchange/@timb_machine) and let's get this done.
